DIAMOND DRILLING

For the most efficient method in forming holes and openings in a large variety of hard building materials, look no further than diamond drilling. Diamond drilling is suitable for drilling into reinforced concrete, brickwork and natural stone.

There is no limit in wall or floor thickness when it comes to diamond drilling. The diamond drilling system is virtually dust free and very quiet. With our various types of drill rigs, drilling can be carried out in confined spaces, at angles and even at inverted positions.

You can also use stitch drilling (drilling a series of overlapping holes) to form openings of any shape. You can even use diamond drilling to create holes for anchor bolts and for producing concrete core samples for analysis.

FLOOR SAWING

Floor sawing is usually used to cut concrete slabs, bridges, car parks and roads. Diamond floor sawing is an effective way to facilitate the formation of expansion joints or to remove structural sections. We are able to cut depths of around 600mm or more if required.

WALL & FLOOR CHASING

When you form channels to precise depths in brick, block or concrete for the installation of services that are electrical or mechanical in nature, you are using the chasing technique. Wall chasing is when hand held equipment with attached diamond blades are used. The blades are selected specifically for whatever material is being cut. Parallel cuts are made and the centre of the channel is removed using lightweight breakers. If you are worried about dust, dust extraction equipment can be used to virtually eliminate the dust.

For floor chasing services, when forming chases in floor-slabs, floor-sawing equipment is utilised. This allows for increased productivity and for larger and deeper channels and recesses. Dust creation can also be reduced.

CONCRETE CRUNCHING

Hydraulic crunching is used to demolish floors, walls, staircases and other reinforced concrete structures. The way it works is simple: Pistons are mounted within lightweight frames that are placed over the exposed edge of the structure being removed. Then, the pistons are forced inwards using hydraulic pressure, which in turn crushes the concrete into rubble. This method is popular because it is non-percussive and therefore it eliminates any vibrations. It’s also dust free, uses no water, and operates silently.

CONCRETE BURSTING

Concrete busting is an effective method of controlled demolition used to remove sections of concrete. By placing bursting heads in pre-drilled holes, we are able to expand these holes using hydraulic pressure to produce cracks, effectively splitting the structure into smaller sections for removal. This method is very safe and efficient, and is dust free, as well as very quiet.
